The Maker's Mark

The Shop

Opening Hours

These are my core hours throughout the year save for the last fortnight in January when the shop has a brief rejuvenating snooze.

Open: Afternoons. Actually from 10.30-11am until 5-5.30pm … except when life doesn’t go to plan. Vets, doctors, dentists etc
Closed : Sunday. Sometimes on Monday in term/less busy times of the year. Be aware Wednesday is 1/2 day closing in Newcastle Emlyn, many shops close at 1pm, we’re open until 3.30pm – 4-ish.

About the Maker’s Mark

The Maker’s Mark is operated in a similar way to a craft co-operative and displays the work of 70 makers and artists, all living and working within Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire (the historic county of ‘Dyfed’).

I opened The Maker’s Mark in 1998 with help of funding from The Prince’s Trust.

For customers The Makers Mark brings under one roof high quality work in a wide range of media. For makers it is an important showcase, particularly for those just starting out or wishing to ‘test the water’ with a new product.

Pottery, Candles, Glassware, Pewter Ware, Metalwork, Sculpture, Original prints and etchings, Jewellery, Marbling and cards, Gift Wrapping.
